Firmware Updates
The Devices tab in the M-Trust Console allows you to manage your devices. There you can update the firmware, as well as the models of your Securalic Devices.
To manage a Device, the Device needs to be assigned to your M-Trust Console account first. If you don't see your Device in the Devices tab on the home page of the M-Trust Console, please contact the M-Trust Support.
Please be aware that connecting to your device requires a browser with Bluetooth support, so (at the time of writing) this would be the latest version of the Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or any Chromium based browser.
Updating the firmware
To update the firmware on one of your Devices, login to the M-Trust Console and click on the Devices tab.
The update process is very simple:
- To start the firmware update, first click on the Start Update button next to the Device you want to update.
-
A Bluetooth connection dialog should appear. The dialog can look different, depending on the browser you use.
-
Now push the button on the Device itself to bring it into the connection mode. The Device should now appear in the connection dialog of your browser.
-
Select the Device in your browser's connection dialog and click Pair to connect your device.
-
Now the M-Trust Console automatically downloads the latest firmware version and installs it on your Device. The installation process might take several minutes to complete.
You can cancel an update process at any time before the Device restarts. Afterwards you have the possibility to restart the update process again.
- When the firmware was successfully installed on your Device, the Device restarts automatically and the Device card in the Device Overview refreshes and shows the latest firmware version as the version that is currently installed on your Device. Congratulations, you have successfully updated your Device's firmware to the latest version!
